Venice Film Festival

Lungomare Guglielmo Marconi Lido Venezia

From Wednesday, September 2 2026 until Saturday, September 12 2026

The oldest film festival in the world, the Venice Film Festival is one of the "Big Five" (along with Cannes, Berlin, Toronto and Sundance). Every year, the festival premiers the most exciting new features and short films, attracting not just renowned filmmakers, but glitterati of all sorts to the red carpet screenings.

The 83rd edition will be held, as always, in the Palazzo del Cinéma on the Lido. Ticket sales (available only online) will open up in mid-August. Please note that children under 6 are not admitted to screenings. Some films have a minimum age limit of 14 or 18 (12 or 16, if accompanied by a parent or guardian, both providing valid ID).
